HI everyone
.
Today I will share a case for subject modeling and visualization of it in the interior using the example of the Finnish safe manufacturer KASO.
About the company.
Since 1891, KASO (Finland) has been offering reliable solutions for protecting data and valuables. Continuously improving the model range, the plant conducts tests and trials in several research institutes around the world. Its specialists constantly study the consequences of real fires and thefts, which makes KASO products unique and of unrivaled quality.
I was approached by the company's representatives to update the marketing materials for their premium line of safes.
First, we discussed the concept, which developed into a technical assignment. It had to be a modern Scandinavian interior in calm shades, not overloaded with interior items, where a home safe should be included. As a reference, we took the premises of a study, smoothly turning into a bedroom.
After that, I made a plan of the premises with a conventional designation of furniture.

Next, I developed a moodboard. It was decided to add a corporate color to some items, so the burgundy shade appeared. And we added several recognizable furniture brands to the interior.

A collage was also created to help the customer understand the idea more accurately.

A detailed technical task, as well as mood boards and collages, allow for a minimum number of changes at the 3D visualization stage and significantly save time.
The next step was to create a 3D model of the safe. Based on technical information and references, geometry, realistic textures and materials were created.

The next stage was building the space, placing and modeling other objects: texturing, aligning the light, and setting up camera angles.

This stage is the most labor-intensive. In order to get a realistic picture, all models, textures, lighting and cameras must be set up correctly.
The first option turned out like this:

But here one nuance came to light. With this arrangement, the safe door simply won't open, and we need to show a realistic story. It was also clear that the burgundy blanket was drawing attention to itself. And the customer also wanted to somehow emphasize the safe and highlight it in the overall picture.
As a solution, I changed the geometry of the table and removed the blanket (it was a shame to part with it, because I spent almost a day creating it). And in order not to spoil the overall light, I decided to highlight only the safe, thereby highlighting it against the general background.
We also changed the location and color of the lamps on the wall with the customer and in the end we got this option:

And the close-up look like this:

I hope you liked my work and the proposed solution fully reflects the concept of the KASO company. I will be glad to answer your questions and perhaps the next visualization will be for you.
