A year ago, I moved to a new apartment located in the new Meshchersky Les residential complex in the southwest of Moscow. The complex has good infrastructure and there are various shops, cafes, restaurants and beauty salons. A big plus is the promenade along the entire residential complex and the proximity to the forest.
According to the plan, there should be a spacious park between my house and the neighboring one. But the developer is still postponing the start of its construction. Residents received information that they wanted to build a parking lot on this site. Of course, we did not like this choice. Work was done to collect signatures in favor of the park. In turn, I decided to make a visualization of my dream park.
First, I photographed the plan of our future park, which was in the public domain.

Then I took a picture of the location of the future park from my window.

First, it was necessary to set up a 3D scene. The camera should be positioned so that all objects would be displayed realistically in the future. Important points to consider:
The focal length of the virtual camera should be identical to the real camera that the photo was taken on.
Use the Perspective Match tool to set the correct verticals and horizontals.
Move the scene away from the camera so that the real objects would look in the right proportions
To solve the last point for the constant, I chose the size of the car and tried to equate it as much as possible to the size of the car in the photo. This is a very good technique. Try to equate the virtual object to the real one, the size of which you know.

The next step was to recreate the landscape according to the existing plan.

After the landscape was recreated and the basic textures were applied, I selected several models of trees and bushes and using the MultiScatter plugin I placed these trees on the landscape.

As a result, we got a realistic green area.

My rendering caused a response and resonance among the residents of our residential complex. Someone supported it with a repost. And some residents asked where we have such a place so that they could go for a walk.
Recently, information appeared that the construction company should resume work on the park from June 15. I hope that this will be the case and soon we will be relaxing in our new park, and not just looking at its virtual embodiment.
